Summer Park Event

Cost:   Free.  (No registration required.)

What:   An annual barbeque and day of events for kids of all ages as well as a play by the Company of Fools.

When:   Sometime in August.

Who:  All residents in Carlington, their families and their friends.

Where:  Alexander or Raven Park

Details:

In addition to the barbeque (includes halal hot dogs), there are snacks such as popcorn or cotton candy available, as well as coffee and juice.

Activities change from year to year, but the list below will give you a good idea of what to expect:

• Climbing wall
• Bouncy castle
• Various games and activities
• Arts and crafts
• T-shirt up-cycling
• Portrait artist or face painting
• Real fire truck
• Some kind of entertainment

The event is also an opportunity to learn about community resources such as Ottawa Bookmobile, community police services, Carlington Community Health Centre, meet our City Councillor, among others.
