Anna Ave and Crown Cres Integrated Renewal Project

Details: Preliminary design, detailed design and tender services have been initiated for renewal and replacement of sanitary sewers and watermains due to age (dating from the 1930’s and 1940’s).  Storm sewers do not require replacement and are being protected except for a small segment on Crown Crescent that is in poor condition.  Also, as part of this project, the watermain on Anna Avenue will extend west on Carling Avenue 50 metres to improve (looping) of the water distribution system.

Full road reconstruction including curbs and sidewalks will be implemented as well as water and sewer services to the property line within the project limits. Traffic-calming elements such as speed humps and intersection and road narrowings will be included where appropriate to improve safety for all road users. Efforts to manage implications to front yard landscaping and existing mature trees will be a project priority.

Construction planned for summer 2025, with most work completed fall of 2026. An information session is planned for April 2025 to present the design drawings to the public.
