Background information:
The Master Site Plan application (City File D07-12-21-0059) was recommended for approval by the City’s October 1, 2021, Joint Built Heritage Sub Committee and Planning Committee. City Council endorsed the endorsed the Master Site Plan and approved the Lifting the Holding Provision on October 13, 2021. The National Capital Commission’s Board of Directors approved the Master Site Plan on October 5, 2021.
The subject application is for the Phase 1 site plan control approval of a 4-storey parking structure accommodating approximately 2,500 parking spaces and 350 bicycle parking and storage spaces. The parking garage will include a publicly accessible green roof and programmable open space, which will include the provision of a pedestrian connection from the main hospital building to the City’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on the north side of Carling Avenue.
